Welcome to My Story

And so we waited is a blog which has been created to share every piece of my pregnancy loss, infertility, navigating through various fertility treatments and motherhood journeys. The blog offers insights into the very highs and the very lows of the struggles met in each phase.

I am doing this not for pity, nor for fame but I saw just how lonely, sad and heartbreaking this journey can be for anyone going through it……

I am doing this to make someone re-think their questions before they ask someone when they are having a baby because they could be asking a woman who had fallen pregnant before but their baby left their body far too early in pregnancy …...

I am doing this because infertility conversations need to held regularly and publicly. We need to break the silent and unspoken grief cycle as if infertility is a curse or a punishment. We need to reduce all current misunderstanding and stigma and raise awareness.

And I am doing this to continue to heal

I have spent a few years jotting down all the feelings I have endured through this journey. Initially it was part of my healing process and it was meant to be just my thoughts on paper. However, I have realized through various groups, that what we go through during our pregnancy journeys, can be bloody hard, unbearable, sad and isolated. Whilst some couples fall pregnant so easily, there are so many couples out there who go through most.

The blog also features guests monologues where others can share their journeys and be part of changing the narrative around pregnancy loss, infertility, fertility treatments and some of the ugliest sides of motherhood that no one speaks about
